App Builder and Full Developer - What are they?

Hi,

(Please apologize if this question from a Mongoose newbie is naive or obvious).

I see this description in the introduction materials to Mongoose:

What are the App Builder and the Full Developer? In the Hello World Tutorial, which one is presented? And how can do we access each of them?

Hello Marc - App Builder was the precursor to the new App Designer, with the intent of both being able to create Widgets. It seems App Builder is still inside of Mongoose, as it was previously, but would recommend using App Designer for Widget creation. If you need a more full form or more developing tools, then you can use Mongoose. We have used Mongoose for Widgets, Forms, Portals and even Mobile Apps that can be published through Infor GO. The hello world tutorial is going to be for Mongooe itself. The tutorial details what Security Roles you need and how to access. You should see a Mongoose Tab under the OS application, if you have the proper roles.

If you want to access App Builder, you can simply open the App Builder Form in Mongoose.

I have not use the Windows Client since the on-prem days of Mongoose, but have always used the web client. The below documentation talks about the Web client, but it is essentially all of the form builder wizards and the design mode of those forms, which is where you build everything, in the web modeler.

Thanks for this comprehensive and useful answer.

So in summary:

App Builder a form in Mongoose.
Precursor of App Designer, both to create Widgets.
App Designer side by side with Mongoose in the Infor OS portal (see attached screenshot)
Mongoose for full development

Side question: the image that I sent above refers to the "Web and client modeler". I guess the "Web modeler" is what the Hello World Tutorial names the "Web Designer", correct? But then, what is the "Client modeler"?

So what's referred to as the Client modeler is the Windows Client of OnPrem versions. I've only used the Cloud Multi-Tenant version so far, so I wasn't aware of it.

And I guess that the Web Designer used throughout the Hello World Tutorial is what's referred to as the Web modeler.
