Endries Transforms Employee Engagement with Robotic Process Automation
Experiencing significant growth over the past three years, Supply Chain Solutions Provider Endries recognizes the challenge of scaling its workforce alongside expanding customer demands. With a focus on having computers do computer work and people do people work, a series of Infor RPA projects were initiated to not only automate repetitive, mundane tasks that computers can execute, but also to create a more satisfying employee experience.
Endries implemented an RPA use case for Inventory Commitment Form (ICF) management because there was no streamlined process for tracking them to close, resulting in 20% of customer commitments left open. This resulted in millions of dollars of inventory costs and unhappy customers since delayed follow-up left them with a budget issue to pay for the inventory. With Infor RPA, ICFs are automatically centralized in IDM with the metadata needed to track and locate for appropriate customer touchpoints:
- 100% closed commitments save millions in inventory costs
- 1,200 hours saved annually in managing ICF documents
- Less than one month time to value
Endries implemented a pre-built RPA use case for Proof of Delivery management (Infor Value+ Enterprise Automation Proof of Delivery Digitization) because both employees and customers were frustrated with the time it took to locate the document in a filing cabinet, and the fact that multiple orders could be in one document, creating complexity in filing a document order number. With Infor RPA, documents are electronically filed and indexed in IDM for instantaneous access when searching by order, customer, or part number.
With approximately 5200 PoD documents collected each year, Infor Value+ provides a more efficient, RPA based solution to manage PoD documents:
- 50% productivity improvement in filing documents
- 96% faster document retrieval for customer inquires
Additionally, Endries will not have to dedicate resources to digitize, process, and manage these documents. This would save Endries approximately 260 hours annually dedicating employee time to handle this task.
