1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for and participating in the Infor Community Hackathon 2024 ("the Hackathon"), you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, please do not participate in the Hackathon.
2. Eligibility
2.1. The Hackathon is open to individuals aged 18 and above.
2.2. Employees of Infor (US), LLC (“Infor”), Koch, Inc., and their affiliates are not eligible to participate.
2.3. Participants must form teams of 2-5 members.
3. Registration and Participation
3.1. Registration is free and must be completed through the official Hackathon website.
3.2. The registration period is from September 24, 2024, to October 15, 2024.
3.3. Participants must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
3.4. Infor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any participant or team.
3.5. You acknowledge and agree that the Infor OS Platform and any additional Infor products that may be specified are subject to U.S. export control laws and other applicable export and import laws. You will not export, reexport, transfer, or use the Infor OS Platform and products in violation of applicable export or import laws, economic sanctions laws, or other applicable laws.
3.6 You are prohibited from participating if you or the entity you work for are:
3.6.1. located in a country embargoed by the United States or the EU, or in a country, state, region, province, or territory where the laws of the United States or local law prohibits participating in or receiving a prize in the Hackathon;
3.6.2. on the U.S. Treasury Department’s list of specially designated nationals; or
3.6.3. employees of the United States Government, the government of any U.S. State or Territory, any state university, or any foreign government.
3.7. Infor reserves the right to verify eligibility and to adjudicate on any dispute at any time. The Hackathon is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and is void where prohibited.
4. Hackathon Rules
4.1. All projects must be original works created during the Hackathon period.
4.2. Projects must utilize the Infor OS Platform and any additional Infor products specified in the project proposal.
4.3. Teams must submit their projects by the specified deadline (November 13, 2024).
4.4. Submissions must include a running version of the solution, a written description, and a video demonstration.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
5.1. You agree that all intellectual property (IP) rights in work product generated from this Hackathon shall be and hereby is owned by Infor and/or its affiliates. To the extent that you, or the entity you represent, own any rights in such work product, you assign (or will procure the assignment of) all right, title, and interest in the work product to Infor. If applicable law prevents future assignments, you will assign (or will procure the assignment of) such rights as they are created. You represent that you do not have any contractual or other obligations that could conflict with any assignments under this paragraph.
5.2. You agree that you will not include any third party assets in your submission without prior written approval from Infor. You hereby represent that your submission is free from encumbrances and restrictions, and does not require obtaining a license, consent or approval from any person or entity.
5.3. You represent and warrant that your project does not infringe upon the IP rights of any third party.
5.4. You agree to provide such assistance as may be called upon by the Hackathon for the purpose of effectively transferring and / or assigning any IP rights that vest under this Section, including by executing and delivering any and all papers that may be necessary or desirable to perfect title to the assigned IP.
6. Use of Infor Resources
6.1. You agree to use the provided Infor cloud tenant and any other Infor resources solely for the purpose of developing innovative solutions for the Hackathon.
6.2. The use of Infor cloud tenants for load testing, penetration testing, or any form of stress testing is strictly prohibited. The focus of the Hackathon is on innovative solution building, not on testing the limits or security of the infrastructure.
6.3. You must not attempt to access, tamper with, or use any areas of Infor systems that are not explicitly provided for the Hackathon.
6.4. Any attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to Infor systems is strictly forbidden and will result in immediate disqualification.
6.5 You must not attempt, cause or permit the reverse engineering, disassembly or de-compilation of the Infor OS Platform and any Infor products.
6.6. Infor reserves the right to monitor the use of provided resources to ensure compliance with these terms.
6.7. Misuse of Infor resources, including but not limited to the activities mentioned above, may result in immediate disqualification from the Hackathon and potential legal action.
7. Judging and Prizes
7.1. Projects will be judged based on criteria announced at the start of the Hackathon.
7.2. The judges' decisions are final and binding.
7.3. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.
7.4. Winners are responsible for any taxes associated with prize receipt.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
8.1. Infor collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy which can be found at:
8.2. By participating, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes of conducting and promoting the Hackathon.
9. Code of Conduct
9.1. You agree to behave professionally and ethically throughout the Hackathon.
9.2. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or unethical behavior may result in immediate disqualification.
10. Limitation of Liability
10.1. Infor is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury resulting from participation in the Hackathon.
10.2. Infor is not liable for any technical malfunctions or errors that may occur during the Hackathon.
11. Modifications and Cancellation
11.1. Infor reserves the right to modify these terms or cancel the Hackathon at any time.
11.2. Any changes will be communicated through the official Hackathon website or via email to registered participants.
12. Governing Law
This Agreement, and all related disputes and claims hereto, shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without reference to its conflict of laws provisions thereof. You agree that resolution of any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be exclusively resolved in the United States District Court sitting at the capital of the state in which Customer maintains its principal place of business, except where that court lacks subject matter jurisdiction. The parties consent to personal jurisdiction before said court for purposes of this Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is illegal or unenforceable, it will be deemed stricken and the remaining provisions of this Agreement will remain in full force and effect. YOU IRREVOCABLY WAIVE ANY AND ALL RIGHTS YOU MAY HAVE TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY LEGAL PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THIS AGREEMENT, REGARDLESS OF THE NATURE OF THE CLAIM OR FORM OF THE ACTION.

By participating in the Infor Community Hackathon 2024, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Agreement. If you are entering into this Agreement for yourself and an entity, such as the company you work for, you represent to Infor that you have legal authority to bind that entity.
