How to send an Infor Business Context to a Widget using CSI MT?

I could not select the option to "Ask a Question" so I am starting a discussion.

In CSI MT, we have a Context Viewer Widget (see image) that is able to read data from records selected in a grid (i.e. Customers), but it only reads data from one record at a time (most recently selected). When multiple records are selected by the user, only one record is displayed still.

Is there a way to send the entire selection by the user if they have more than one record selected in the grid? Anyone let me know, thanks!

I don't know what your use case for that is. Technically, it would certainly be possible. You would need to find an appropriate event to know when the selection has changed - possibly StdObjectSelectCurrentCompleted would still work. Then you'd loop over all the selected records in FormScript and build the JSON. Finally use the SendWebContainerMessage event action to send it.

If you are doing it you should use a custom message rather than inforBusinessContext because all the widgets that receive inforBusinessContext expect a single record (e.g. the Related Information widget).

In a custom message you could also use a shorter format with just the data required for your use case.
