Calculations within a custom template

I am working on customizing our Pick Ticket template to show, for orders that used a Credit Card, the total charge for the order, their tendered amount for this order, and then the remaining balance. I have both the total charge and the tendered amount but to get the remaining balance I need to find the difference between the 2 values. Has anyone done custom Xpath for calculating the difference or could lead me in the right direction! Any help is appreciated!

Hi Sarah,

That should not be such a problem. You can use the XPATH 1.0 (regrettably not higher) set, documentation can be found on e.g. XML Path Language (XPath). Sometimes requires a bit of tinkering to get working for IDM. Remember that the source for IDM, the xml contains strings so first convert to number.

So you'd end up with something like number(Custom/VFCOSQ) - number(CLRJQA)

Don't know your main application but in M3 you can also do the calculation in CMS005 in the virtual fields (CMS012)
