INFOR OS on-prem vs INFOR OS in the cloud
Good morning.
Is there any documentation which shows the differences between INFOR OS on-prem vs INFOR OS in the cloud? I know with the cloud version you can use Mobile Go. What other features are available in the cloud.

Hi @Candy Hein, as @Brandon Watson mention there are a load of differences between OP and MT - both in terms of the capabilities available in services that live in both worlds as well as there being a lot more services available in MT - the MT is also constantly under change with new services, features and capabilities being added all the time. One point to be clear on Infor GO is only available in MT , Brandon I expect you are thinking of one of the earlier Mobile option but GO is definitely MT only.
Some examples - in ION MT has Scripting, Merge, Splitter options - these are all very powerful, as well as API Flows and Data Loader, etc. - IFS (security) has greater IdP support, External Users, Audit & Monitoring capabilities, etc., IDM has a whole module called Document Output where you can create your own documents from inbound data and a defined template, as well as support for things like DocuSign, etc., Mingle becomes Portal V2 with OAD for no code widget creation - and a bunch more - then you have complete services like Data Fabric, BaaS, RPA, IDP, AI/ML, to name a few, that are not possible in the OP world.
One last point, just for clarity, the OP offering is now Local Technology Runtime (LTR) the older Infor OS OP product is moving to sustaining maintenance at the end of this year but LTR is taking all the core services (ION, Mingle, IDM, ...) forward with improved support for newer Java versions and other technical prerequisites under the covers
Check out the rest of the developer portal for details, videos, etc. on the above acronym soup 😀

Hello Candy - I am pretty sure you can use Infor Go mobile app with on-prem, but I think the issue is that you can only add one device, android or iOS, you could not add both. Check out the user Authorizations and see if Infor Go is listed in there, if I am remembering correctly, it may have to manually added. Sorry it has been awhile since I have done it.
With that said, there are a ton of differences between them, especially with the new Portal V2 that came out. ION has a lot more features available, then you have Data Lake, and some others. Reviewing the Cloud Documentation could reveal most of these.
