ION Kafka connector works with Aiven Kafka

We are pleased to inform you that our Kafka Connector, which has been tested and verified with Kafka deployments on Amazon and Confluent, is now also tested and works with Aiven Kafka.

We recently worked with a customer to set up the ION Kafka Connector to work with Aiven Kafka and are pleased to report successful results. Out of the box, Aiven Kafka requires an Aiven project CA certificate, which is not used by the ION Kafka connector (we use the browser-recognized CA certificate). But you can request switching to a browser-recognized certificate by opening an Aiven support ticket.

After a request from our customer, Aiven support switched the certificate and the ION connector was able to connect and send/receive messages to Aiven Kafka.
